My deepest thanks to Visitor Center director Eva Zanardi and artist Daniel Giordano. As well as the support of my wife Eleanor White and all who came to the opening. Had a blast!

The work on view includes a work on paper Study for Kase Painting (Gold), a new Crate Painting (B7) and Black Book (Fate of a Gesture). An art history book that has been entirely painted black using Krink Ink. The exhibition is on view from Nov 20 - January 29, 2022

Subliminal Horizons Curated by Alvin Hall at Alexander Gray Associates

The second part of the exhibition Subliminal Horizons Curated by Alvin Hall opened yesterday at Alexander Gray Associates upstate Germantown venue.  It includes these two Kase Painting works on paper studies. Super excited to see them up especially in this gorgeous and very unique architectural gallery space. One has to see it in person! The exhibition will be on view through August 15th.

Great opening despite the heavy rain that came down. So happy to see my work in great company and all the friends that came through. Much love to all! The exhibition in Chelsea is on view through August 14th. The second part of the exhibition takes place in their upstate Germantown location which opens to the public today with an official opening from 4-6pm on July 4th. Road trip anyone! Kase Painting

Studio Notes: 5/26

Almost finished with this new Kase Painting in the studio. Color inspired by an old industrial site that I see each day while commuting to work. The painting is a perfect fit for the reclaim wood L-frame. Originally I had thought of making a black or dark grey painting for this frame to match the black manufactures mark on the plywood. Decided to go with the Lt blue first and figured if it didn't work it'd be easier to lay on the black/Grey then the other way around. The painting has three layers of color. The original ground color was brown with a warm white graffiti tag which I then removed with graffiti remover. The trace tag then got an additional layer of off white over coat before applying the final Lt Blue color. Just need some additional collaged on paint marks which often take a while but for the most part this painting is pretty much done.

Black Mirror and Other Third World Reflections: Selections from the Mario Cader-Frech Collection. Curated by Claire Bruekel.

Super excited to be included in such a great collection and exhibition with so many great artists. Black Mirror and Other Third World Refections opens this thursday Feb 14th at Florida Atlantic University. Reception is from 6:30 - 8pm with an artist talk at 7pm. Had the privilege to speak a little about my work during a curators breakfast hosted by Y.ES during Art Basel Miami Beach. The Y.ES Contemporary Art Loan Program includes work from The Mario Cader-Frech Art Collection. Spaces represented included Tate Modern, New Museum, MoCA LA, The Andy Warhol Museum, SCAD, The Oaklahoma Contemporary Art Center, Wolfsonian - FIU, The Phillip and Patricia Frost Art Museum, Florida Atlantic University Galleries, Christies, Coachella, Shin Gallery, White Cube, Commonwealth and Council.
