Exhibition: Home Coming at Kunsthalle Beacon

















HOME COMING

March 9 – April 25, 2013
KUNSTHALLE BEACON (KuBe)
at The Jerome A. Cohen and Joan Lebold Cohen Art Center

Opening reception: March 9th, 5:30 - 8pm.

BEACON, NY - The Kunsthalle Beacon (KuBe) is home to a community of artists called the KuBe Collective, an acronym for Kunsthalle Beacon, formally the old Beacon High School.  This community is a mix of local, regional and international artists who have come together to present the exhibition “Home Coming”.  The artwork in the exhibition reflects a thriving community of artists. Preserving a glimpse into their personal history, experiences, and sense of community living and working in Beacon, New York. The work ranges from painting and sculpture, to photography, performance, video and installation.  

Participating artists include:
Isaac Aden, Joseph Ayers, Sean Breault, Joan Lebold Cohen, Steven Dickens, Corie Durkin, Tess Elliot , Ronnie Farley, Alison Fishburn,  Ricardo Fuentes, Elia Gurna, Shaqe Kalaj, Steve Lambert, Adrianna Mateo, Karlos Carcamo, Aya Uekawa, and Susan Walsh.

Admission is free and open to the public. The opening reception will take place on March 9th, from 5:30 – 8pm with a performance by violinist and performance artist Adrianna Mateo will begin at 7pm. 

The current exhibition, Anken Kidani: Dream Girls, and site-specific installations, Beaconopolis and Bollywood Swan by Jon Kessler, presented through out the building by Ethan Cohen Fine Arts, will be open on March 9th during the opening reception for “Home Coming”.
