A Synthetic Abstraction (Old English), 2009This is the first of a series of pieces that play on synthetic cubism incorporating more up to date source matrial such as gold chains, bullet casings, box cutters, etc. I don't know how I feel about the piece yet since it's so new? I'll live with it for a little bit. I'm including this piece in a show titled "The Pleasure Seekers" curated by Dan Halm. The show opens next Tuesday at Chashama. The gallery is on 44th between 6th and 7th Ave. The opening reception is from 6-9pm.
